Get to Know Traditional White Water Rafting in Wakayama

Talking about Japan, of course it will never end. No matter how often we visit Japan, there must be an interesting tourist location waiting to be visited, one of which is the traditional white water rafting tour in Wakayama prefecture.

Wakayama is a prefecture in Japan that is better known as a pilgrimage site to Buddhist & Shinto shrines, but like other regions in Japan, Wakayama does not only offer pilgrimage tourism. This prefecture also has various other tourist options such as beaches, forests, canyons & mountain valleys that cover almost 70% of Wakayama’s area.

GET READY! HOKURIKU ARCH PASS WILL BE INCREASE IN PRICE

After previously being surprised by the significant price increase of the JR Pass All Area, now the Hokuriku Arch Pass will also experience a price change! But don’t worry, the price increase for this pass is not as drastic as the JR Pass All Area.

A brief introduction, the Hokuriku Arch Pass is one of the many continuous train tickets offered by Japan Railways in Japan for foreign tourists to use so they can ride public transportation, such as Shinkansen, Limited Express & JR Local Line, more easily & practically for 7 consecutive days. This pass is a collaboration between Japan Railways East (JR EAST) & Japan Railways West (JR WEST), the name “Hokuriku” is taken from the name of the Hokuriku region (Toyama – Ishikawa – Fukui) which is passed as a travel route from Tokyo to Osaka & Kyoto, or vice versa. While “Arch” symbolizes the depiction of the train route which looks like an upward curve when viewed from the map display.
